§ 1 State recognition of the vocational training profession

The training profession of the optician and the optician is recognized according to § 25 of the Craft Code of Crafts for the Industrial Training Number 33 of Appendix A of the Craft Regulations. Unofficial table of contents

§ 2 Duration of vocational training

§ 3 Training framework plan, vocational training programme

(1) The subject-matter of vocational training shall be at least the skills, knowledge and skills listed in the training framework plan (Appendix) (professional capacity for action). An organization of the training, which deviates from the training framework plan, is allowed in particular, insofar as the particularities of practice require the deviation. § 4 Implementation of vocational training

(1) The skills, knowledge and skills referred to in this Regulation shall be taught in such a way as to enable trainees to pursue a qualified professional activity within the meaning of Article 1 (3) of the Vocational Training Act. , which includes, in particular, independent planning, implementation and control. This qualification must also be proved in the examinations according to § § 5 to 7. (2) The trainees have to draw up a training plan on the basis of the training framework plan for the trainees. (3) The trainees have a to provide written evidence of formal qualifications. § 5 Gesellenprüfung

(1) The journeyman's examination consists of the two parts 1 and 2 that fall apart in time. The journeyman's examination shall determine whether the examinee has acquired the professional capacity to act within the meaning of Section 1 (3) of the Vocational Training Act. In the journeyman's examination, the examinee is to prove that he has the skills required for this purpose, possessing the necessary professional knowledge and skills and with the skills required in the course of vocational education and training, for which he/she is responsible for the Vocational training is familiar to essential teaching materials. Section 6 Part 1 of the journeyman's examination

(1) Part 1 of the journeyman's examination shall take place before the end of the second year of training. (3) Part 1 of the journeyman's examination consists of the examination area maintenance of visual aids. (4) For the examination area the following consists of: Preferences:

a)
to select and apply different forms and joining techniques,
b)
to manufacture or modify the parts of the barrel after presentation,
c)
to test, measure, center, manually edit and incorporate into a socket, spherical and toric, monofocal eyeglass lenses,
d)
to assess work results;
2.
the examination area shall be based on the following activities:
a)
Repair of a spectacle frame and
b)
Reworking of a pair of glasses by hand in a metal full-edge version;
3.
the examinee is to carry out a work task and to process tasks in writing, which relate to the content of the work performed. The repair of a spectacle frame with 30 percent, the reworking of a pair of glasses with 40 percent and the processing of the written tasks with 30 percent are to be weighted;
4.
the examination time is 330 minutes; within this period, the processing of the written tasks will be carried out in 90 minutes.

Section 7 Part 2 of the journeyman's examination

(1) Part 2 of the journeyman's examination shall cover the skills, knowledge and skills listed in the Annex, and the teaching material to be provided in the course of vocational education, to the extent that it is essential to vocational training. (2) Part 2 of the Gesellenprüfung consists of the examination areas:
1.
Manufacture of rimless correction glasses,
2.
Eye optical supply,
3.
Eye and vision,
4.
Economic and social studies.
(3) For the examination area Manufacture of a rimless correction eyeglasses the following requirements exist:
1.
The test specimen shall demonstrate that it is capable of
a)
to measure and center multifocal spectacle lenses according to given data, and to process them with an automatic edge grinding machine and to mount it into an edge-free version,
b)
orient the spectacles,
c)
to assess and document the work product;
2.
the test piece is to produce a test piece and document the work product with practical documents;
3.
the exam time is 150 minutes.
(4) The following guidelines exist for the examination area Eye Optical Care:
1.
The test specimen shall demonstrate that it is capable of
a)
to identify customer requests,
b)
to advise customers on spectacle lenses according to glass type, material, finishing and colouring, taking into account the individual vision requirement,
c)
to pre-adapt the eyeglass frame,
d)
Determine centering data,
e)
To incorporate eyeglass lenses into the pre-adapted version according to determined centering data,
f)
to make the final adjustment and to include customers in the use;
2.
the test specimen is to carry out a work sample;
3.
the exam time is 120 minutes.
(5) The following guidelines exist for the examination area Eye and Visual Aid:
1.
The test specimen shall demonstrate that it is capable of
a)
To describe the effects of vision-reducing influences and diseases in the selection of visual aids,
b)
explain the effects of correction agents on anatomical, physiological and optical conditions,
c)
explain the properties and possible uses of materials for contact lenses, eyeglass lenses and eyeglass frames,
d)
to distinguish the modes of action of contact lens care products,
e)
to perform optical calculations and to explain the properties of visual aids, including imaging errors and uses;
2.
the examinee is to process practical tasks in writing;
3.
the examination time is 180 minutes.
(6) The following guidelines exist for the examination area of economic and social studies:
1.
The purpose of the audit is to demonstrate that it is capable of presenting and assessing the general economic and social context of the working and working world;
2.
the examinee is to process practical tasks in writing;

the exam time is 60 minutes.

§ 8 Rules on weightings and regulations

(1) The examination areas shall be weighted as follows:

(2) The journeyman's examination has been passed if the services
1.
in the overall result of Parts 1 and 2 of the Journeyman Examination with at least "sufficient",
2.
as a result of Part 2 of the journeyman's examination, at least "sufficient",
3.
in the examination area "Eye and visual aid" of the journeyman's examination, at least "sufficient",
4.
in at least two areas of examination of Part 2 of the Journeyman's Examination with at least "sufficient" and
5.
in no examination area of Part 2 with "insufficient"
(3) At the request of the examinee, the examination must be supplemented by an oral examination of approximately 15 minutes in one of the examination areas "eye and visual aid" or "economic and social studies" which have been assessed to be less than sufficient, if this can be the case for the passing of the test. In determining the result for this examination area, the previous result and the result of the oral supplementary examination in the ratio 2: 1 are to be weighted. Unofficial table of contents

§ 9 Existing Vocational Training Conditions

Vocational training conditions which exist at the date of entry into force of this Regulation may be continued in accordance with the provisions of this Regulation, taking into account the period of training completed so far, provided that the Contracting Parties agree to do so and No intermediate examination has yet been filed. Section 10 Entry into force, expiry of the external force

This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 August 2011. At the same time, the regulation on vocational training becomes an optician on the optician/eye optician of 4 March 1997 (BGBl. I p. 436). Unofficial table of contents
