The following agreements are agreed:
1.
The Convention on Third Party Liability in the Field of Nuclear Energy, signed in Paris on 29 July 1960 by the Federal Republic of Germany (Paris Convention),
2.
in Brussels, 25. The Convention of 25 May 1962, signed by the Federal Republic of Germany on the liability of the holders of reactor vessels (Brussels Reactor Convention) and the Additional Protocol thereto of the same day, signed on 25 May 1962,
3.
the Additional Agreement to the Paris Convention of 29 July 1960 on Liability to Third Parties in the Field of Nuclear Energy, signed by the Federal Republic of Germany on 31 January 1963 (the Brussels Supplemental Convention),
4.
the Additional Protocol to the Convention of 29 July 1960 on Third Party Liability in the Field of Nuclear Energy, signed by the Federal Republic of Germany on 28 January 1964,
5.
the Additional Protocol to the Additional Protocol to the Convention of 31 January 1963 on the Paris Convention of 29 July 1960 on liability to third parties in the field of nuclear energy, signed in Paris on 28 January 1964, and

Species 1a

The conversion of the unit of account referred to in Article III (4), first sentence, of the Convention of 25 May 1962 on the liability of the holders of reactor vessels, in the value of 65 1/2 milligrams of gold of 900/1,000 fine in euros, shall be made available through the Special drawing rights of the International Monetary Fund, with fifteen units of value corresponding to a Special Drawing Right. The value of the euro, expressed in special drawing rights, shall be determined by the method of calculation used by the International Monetary Fund for its operations and transactions. Type 2

The Federal Government is authorized to enter into force international agreements for the promotion of reactor ships by means of a legislative decree, which are entitled to the use of foreign waters and ports by reactor vessels which are entitled to To conduct a federal flag, or to regulate the use of waters and ports of the Federal Republic of Germany by means of reactor vessels flying the flag of foreign countries, and which fulfil the following conditions:

The safety provisions must be in accordance with the rules laid down in Chapter VIII of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea of 1960 and the recommendations of Annex C to the Final Act of the International Conference of 1960 Protection of human life at sea (Bundesgesetzbl. 465 and 480), as amended, in the relevant version.
2.
The provisions of Articles I Nos 4 to 8, II, III (2), Article IV, V (1) sentence 1 and (2) to (4), Article VIII, X (1) and (2) and Article XI (4) of the Brussels Reactor Ship Convention must be in accordance with the content of the haftungslaw. and provide for a limitation of liability for each nuclear event, which shall be at least equal to the amount referred to in Article III (1) and (4) of this Convention and shall not exceed EUR 500 million.
3.
The application of national or international law relating to the limitation of the liability of the shipping company to liability under the agreement must be excluded.

Art 3

This law shall also apply in the Land of Berlin, provided that the Land Berlin determines the application of this law. Legal orders issued pursuant to this Act shall apply in the Land of Berlin pursuant to Section 14 of the Third Transfer Act of 4 January 1952 (Bundesgesetzbl. I p. 1). Unofficial table of contents

(1) This Act shall enter into force on the day following its notification. (2) The days on which the Paris Convention, together with the Additional Protocol referred to in Article 19 thereof, the Brussels Reactor Convention, and the Additional Protocol referred to in Article XXIV thereof, shall be: The Brussels Supplemental Agreement, together with the Additional Protocol, in accordance with Article 20 thereof and the Brussels Nuclear Material Seetransport Convention, enter into force for the Federal Republic of Germany in accordance with Article 6 thereof, shall be published in the Federal Law Gazette. (3) The Federal Minister of the Interior is authorized to do so, the Paris Convention and to make the Brussels Supplemental Agreement known in the version of the Additional Protocols.
