On the basis of § 56b of the Medicines Act, as amended by the Notice of 12 December 2005 (BGBl. I p. 3394), the Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection, in agreement with the Federal Ministry of Health, is responsible for: Unofficial table of contents

§ 1

In addition to § 56a (1) (2) and (3) of the Medicines Act, an insecticide or a repellent in another Member State of the European Union or of another State Party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area may, for the purposes of animal species to be treated are prescribed, submitted or used by a veterinarian or a veterinarian for protection against bluetongue, if a medicinal product authorised for the species to be treated is not in Germany is available.
