§ 5 Reconciliation rule for § 230 of the Burden Balancing Act

As far as benefits from the hardship fund (§ § 301, 301a LAG) are available Persons who, in their own or their spouses, are entitled to claim damage or damage to the East, shall be subject to the following:

Support for subsisting is considered to be a service for maintenance assistance; if it is an increase in accordance with § 301a (3) of the German Act on Equalization of the Load, they are deemed to be Compensation pension benefits.
2.
Procurement of household goods is considered to be an allowance for household allowance.
3.
Building loans granted from the hardship fund apply to the application of § § 255, 258 of the German Act on Burden Compensation as a construction loan pursuant to § 254 of the German Act on Equalization of Burdens.

§ 6 Application Time

(1) To apply from the provisions of Article I
1.
§ 1 Nos. 1, 6 to 10 and 23 as well as § 2 with effect from the entry into force of the burden-compensation law (§ 375), ,
2.
§ 1 No. 2 with effect from 1. January 1960,
3.
§ 1 No. 12 (b) with effect from 1. June 1960,
4.
§ 1 No. 3 with effect from 1. January 1961 onwards,
5.
§ 1 Nos. 11, 18, 19 and 20 (c) with effect from 1. June 1961 onwards,
6.
§ 1 No. 4 with effect from 1. July 1961 onwards,
7.
§ 1 (12) (a) and (c) to (e) and Nos 13 to 17, No 20 (a) and (b), (21), (22), (24) and (26), with effect from 1. June 1962.
(2) For the application of § § 266, 272, 273, 280 and 282 of the burden-compensation law, § § 246 and 248 of the burden-equalization act are valid in the version of § 1 No. 9 and 10 of this Act of 1. June 1961. (3) Persons who are only able to claim the damage or damage to the East pursuant to Section 230 (1) of the Act on Equalization in the version of Section 1 (8) of this Act will not be charged at the earliest in the first place. § 7 Application in Berlin

This law applies in accordance with Section 12 (1) and Section 13 (1) of the Third Party Transfer Act of 4. January 1952 (BGBl. I p. 1) also in the Land of Berlin. Non-official table of contents

This law will enter into force on the day after it is announced.
