§ 5 Code of reconciliation to section 230 of the German Act on Burden-Compensation

In so far as benefits from the hardship fund (§ § 301, 301a LAGs) have been granted to persons who are entitled to claim damage or damage to the East themselves or their spouses, the following shall apply:
1.
Aid for subsistence shall be considered as benefits for maintenance assistance; in so far as the amounts of increase are in accordance with Section 301a (3) of the Burden-Equalisation Act, they shall be regarded as benefits for compensation pension.
2.
Aid for the procurement of household goods is considered to be a service to house-rate compensation.
3.
Built-up loans granted from the hardness fund apply to the application of § § 255, 258 of the German Act on Burden Compensation as a construction loan in accordance with § 254 of the German Act on Burden Compensation.

§ 6 Application Date

(1) The provisions of Article I shall apply:
1.
§ 1, no. 1, 6 to 10 and 23, as well as § 2 with effect from the entry into force of the Burden Balancing Act (§ 375),
2.
Section 1, point 2, with effect from 1 January 1960,
3.
Section 1 (12) (b), with effect from 1 June 1960,
4.
Section 1, point 3, with effect from 1 January 1961,
5.
Sections 1, No 11, 18, 19 and 20 (c), with effect from 1 June 1961,
6.
Section 1, point 4, with effect from 1 July 1961,
7.
Sections 1 (12) (a) and (c) to (e) and (13) to (17), (20) (a) and (b), (21), (22), (24) and (26), with effect from 1 June 1962.
(2) For the application of § § 266, 272, 273, 280 and 282 of the burden-equalization act, § § 246 and 248 of the German Act on burden-balancing act in the version of § 1 No. 9 and 10 of this Act of 1 June 1961 apply. (3) To persons who are only on the basis of the § § § § 1. Pursuant to Section 1 (8) of this Act, Article 230 (1) of the Act on Equalisation of the Burden of Compensation can be used to claim damages or damage to the East, and the war shall be granted at the earliest on 1 June 1963. § 7 Application in Berlin

This law applies in accordance with Section 12 (1) and Section 13 (1) of the Third Transfer Act of 4 January 1952 (BGBl. I p. 1) also in the Land of Berlin. Unofficial table of contents

Section 8 Entry into force

This law shall enter into force on the day after it is announced.
