For the personal legal relations of the spouses with respect to each other, unless otherwise specified in the following, the provisions of this law shall apply even if the marriage has been concluded before its entry into force.

In order to divorce the marriage and the consequences of the divorce, the provisions of this law shall apply even if the marriage has been concluded before its entry into force. The maintenance entitlement of a spouse whose marriage has been divorced according to the rules in force in the past shall continue to be determined in accordance with the law of the past. Maintenance agreements shall remain unaffected.

If a marriage has been annulled, annulled or divorced in accordance with the provisions in force until now, Section 850d (2) (a) of the Code of Civil Procedure is to be applied in the version currently in force.

a)
This Act shall enter into force on 1 July 1977, subject to the provisions of points (b) and (c).
b)
The following provisions shall enter into force on 1 July 1976: Article 1 (2), No 23 to 25, No 35 to 41, Article 3 (4), Article 7 (1), (7) and (8), Article 8 (2) (c), Article 9; Article 3 (1), in so far as Articles 54 to 57 of the marriage law are Article 12 (2) and Article 12 (10), in so far as the provision relates to proceedings in accordance with Section 57 of the marriage law.
c)
The following provisions shall enter into force on the day following the announcement of the law:
1.
Section 1587a (3) (2), last sentence of the Civil Code, as amended by Article 1 (20);
2.
Article 3 (1), in so far as § 4 (2), § 6 (1) and § 19 of the marriage law lose their effectiveness, and Article 3 (2);
3.
Section 1304c (3) of the Reichsversicherungsordnung, as amended by Article 4 (1) (e);
4.
Section 83c (3) of the Act on the Insurance Act, as amended by Article 4 (2) (d);
5.
Section 96b of the Reichsknappschaftsgesetz (Reichsknappschaftsgesetz), as amended by Article 4 (3) (d);
6.
Section 23c of the Law of the Court of Justice, as amended by Article 5 (2);
7.
Article 7 (2) and (3);
8.
Article 8 (2) (f);
9.
Article 12 (10), in so far as the provision relates to proceedings under Section 44b of the Law on the matters of voluntary jurisdiction.
