DECRET
Decree of 12 February 2003 amending the Decree of 18 February 1950 on the designation of controlled origin " Layon Coteaux "

Prime Minister,
On the report of the Minister of Agriculture, Food, Fisheries and Rural Affairs and the Minister of Economy, Finance and Industry,
In view of Council Regulation (EC) No 1493/1999 of 17 May 1999 on the common organisation of the market in wine and the regulations made for its application;
Given the general tax code;
Given the Customs Code;
Seen the Rural code;
Given the code of consumption;
In view of Decree No. 991 of 3 April 1942 implementing Act No. 445 of 3 April 1942 on controlled names, supplemented by Decree No. 48-707 of 21 April 1948 on appellations Of controlled origin;
In light of the February 18, 1950 Order in Council relating to the definition of the controlled appellation " Layon Coteaux " ;
In light of Decree No. 87-854 of 20 October 1987 on the development and performance of vineyards On farms producing wines, natural sweet wines and liqueur wines with an appellation of origin;
In view of Decree No. 2001-510 of 12 June 2001 on the application of the Consumer Code with regard to wines, sparkling wines, wines Sparkling wines and liqueur wines;
In light of Decree No. 2001-1163 of 7 December 2001 concerning the analytical and organoleptic examinations of wines with a controlled designation of origin;
Having regard to Decree No. 2002-1325 of 5 November 2002 on the conditions of Production and performance of vineyards producing wines with a controlled designation of origin;
Given the proposal of the National Wine and Life Committee of the National Institute of Appellations of Origin on 5 and 6 June 2002,
Décrète:

Article 1


It is added to the Decree of 18 February 1950 that an article 3 bis reads as follows:
" Art. 3 bis. -The wines with a controlled appellation of origin "Layon Coteaux may be declared and presented under the particular reference" Selection of noble grains if they correspond to the respective conditions specified below:
a) Be derived from Grape harvest with a minimum natural wealth of 294 grams of sugar per litre of must;
b) Not subject to any enrichment, and subject to the systematic finding of the above mentioned sugar wealth by the Local services of the National Institute of Appellations of Origin;
(c) Before 31 July, having been the subject of local services of the National Institute of Appellations of Origin, of a declaration of intent to produce;
(d) Being Clear and approved under this reference to analytical and organoleptic examinations as provided for by the regulations in force, such examinations may only be held at the earliest of the second year following the harvest;
e) Being Presented with the indication of the year of harvest. "

Article 2


The Minister of Economy, Finance and Industry, the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Fisheries And rural affairs, the minister responsible for the budget and budgetary reform and the Secretary of State for small and medium-sized enterprises, trade, craft, professional and consumer affairs are responsible, each in terms of Of the execution of this Decree, to be published in the Official Journal of the French Republic.
