Summary


This Decree provides for the modification of certain conditions of recruitment in the corps of the gendarmerie officers, in particular the provisions relating to the 1st competition on tests and those relating to the competition on titles. For the contest on tests, this decree specifies, in the first place, the admission to the equivalence of an end-of-graduate degree, the diploma of an institute of political studies. It authorships, in the second place, to compete for the candidates registered in the final year of obtaining a diploma required, the title corresponding to that diploma being presented at the date of entry to the officers' school of the national gendarmerie. In order to be able to run in the competition on securities, this text lays down, by way of order, the required diplomas of the 3rd cycle. Finally, the decree takes into account the entry into force of the code of education and the change of name of inspector general of army for the gendarmerie. Decree n ° 2003-104 of 11 February 2003 amending Decree No. 75-1209 of 22 December 1975 on the special status of the gendarmerie officer corps

The President of the Republic,
On the report of the Prime Minister, the Minister of Defence, the Minister of Economy, Finance and Industry, the Minister of Public Service, State Reform and Spatial Planning and the Minister Delegate to the Budget and Budget Reform,
In the light of Law No. 72-662 of 13 July 1972 on the General Status of the Military;
In view of Decree No. 75-1209 of 22 December 1975 as amended bearing in mind the special status of the gendarmerie officer corps;
Given the opinion of the Higher Council of Military Service of 30 November 2001;

In the 3 ° of Article 6 of the decree of 22 December 1975, the words: " The law of 10 July 1934 relating to the conditions of grant and the use of the title of a certified engineer " Are replaced by the words: " Articles L. 641-1 to L. 642-12 of the code of education ".

Section 7 of the Order is amended as follows:
I.-The 1 ° is replaced by the following:
" 1 ° By competition on securities, among the holders of an engineer's title issued in the Conditions determined by the code of education or a post-graduate diploma in a material appearing on a list fixed by order of the Minister of Defence according to the needs of the gendarmerie. The persons concerned must, on 1 January of the year of the competition, be under twenty-eight years of age and be in good standing with regard to the provisions of the national service code. "
II. -The 2 ° is replaced by the following:
" 2 ° By competition on tests, which may include subjects with options, open to the holders of a post-graduate degree in higher education or a diploma from an institute Political studies. The persons concerned must be, on 1 January of the year of the competition, less than twenty-six years of age and in good standing with respect to the provisions of the code of the national service.
However, they may be allowed to compete in the competitions. Successful completion of the final year of study for the required degree. Candidates so authorised to present themselves and who have successfully entered the contest shall be admitted to the officers' school of the National Gendarmerie only if they justify possession of the required diploma, before the start date immediately following This competition. If they cannot graduate before that date, they lose the benefit of their success in the competition. "

The Prime Minister, the Minister of Defence, the Minister of Economy, Finance and Industry, the Minister of the Public Service, the Reform of the State and Spatial Planning, and the Minister responsible for the budget and budgetary reform shall each be responsible for the execution of this Decree, which shall be published in the Official Journal of the French Republic.
