Summary

Application of Art. 38 of Law 72-662 of 13 July 1972; 7, 12 and 14 of Decree 75-1206 of 22 December 1975. This Decree provides for the amendment of Decree 95-729 concerning the Military Special School (ESM) of Saint-Cyr, to take account of the new provisions introduced by Decree 2001-1252 of 21 December 2001 on recruitment and To the formation of officers of the army, amending in this sense Decree 75-1206 of 22 December 1975, as amended, bearing in mind the special status of the corps of army officers of the army. The President of the Republic,
On the report of the Prime Minister and the Minister of Defence,
In the light of Law No. 72-662 of 13 July 1972 on the General Status of the Military, in particular Article 38;
In light of Decree No. 75-1206 of 22 December 1975, amending the special status of the corps of army officers of the army, in particular Articles 7, 12 and 14;
Given Decree No. 95-729 of 10 May 1995 relative to the Ecole spéciale militaire de Saint-Cyr,
Describes:

The decree of 10 May 1995 referred to above is amended as follows:
I.-Throughout the decree, the words: Minister for the Armed Forces " Are replaced by the words: " Minister of Defence ".
II. Article 3 shall be replaced by the following:
" Art. 3. - The pupils, divided by stream, are attending school:
-3 years for the students from the competitions provided for in the 1 ° and 2 ° of Article 7 of the Decree of 22 December 1975 above;
-2 years for pupils from the competition provided for in 3 ° of Article 7 of the Decree of 22 December 1975;
-1 year for pupils recruited under Article 14 of the Decree of 22 December 1975. "
III. -The first paragraph of Article 5 shall be replaced by the following:
" The diploma of the Ecole spéciale militaire de Saint-Cyr sanctions the studies of the pupils who have successfully completed the training course of this school, provided for in the Articles 12 and 14 of the Decree of 22 December 1975 cited above. "
IV. -In Article 7, the words: Minister for the Armed Forces (Chief of the Land Staff) " Are replaced by the words: " Chief of the Land Staff ".

The Prime Minister and the Minister of Defence are responsible for the execution of this Decree, each of which shall be published in the Official Journal of the French Republic.
