Order of 2 January 2004 concerning the organization of public security exchanges in the department of Meurthe-and-Moselle and merger of the public security exchanges of Joeuf and de Briey

The Minister of the Interior, Internal Security and Local Freedoms,
Law No. 66-492 of 9 July 1966 amending the organization of the national police force ;
Having regard to Law No. 82-213 of 2 March 1982 as amended on the rights and freedoms of municipalities, departments and regions;
In view of the amending Act No. 92-125 of 6 February 1992 on the territorial administration of the Republic ;
Due to the amended Law No. 95-73 of 21 January 1995 on security orientation and programming;
In view of Law No. 2002-1094 of 29 August 2002 on internal security orientation and programming;
In the light of Decree No. 82-389 of 10 May 1982 as amended on the powers of the prefects and the action of the State departments and agencies in the departments;
In view of Decree No. 93-1031 of 31 August 1993 establishing and organizing the departmental directorates of the Public Safety;
In view of Decree No. 95-661 of 9 May 1995 amending the Code of Criminal Procedure (second part: Orders in Council of State) and relating to the judicial police;
In view of the Order of 10 December 1993 on the organisation of services Decentralised of the central management of public security;
In view of the decree of 2 January 2004 establishing the state police regime on the territory of the communes of Houdemont, Art-sur-Meurthe, Pulnoy, Saulxures-lès-Nancy, Heillecourt, Fléville-devant-Nancy and Seichamps (Meurthe-et-Moselle);
In view of the decree of 2 January 2004 abolishing the State police regime on the territory of the communes of Pont-Saint-Vincent, Neuves-Maisons, Chavigny, Messein and Chaligny (Meurthe-et-Moselle);
In view of the opinion of the Joint Technical Committee of the National Police Services of Meurthe-et-Moselle as of 16 April 2003;

Effective February 1, 2004, in the department of Meurthe-et-Moselle, the public security division of Joeuf is merged with that of Briey; the communes in which the State Police System was established are, for the organization of public security services, divided into districts attached to the departmental management of Public security in accordance with the following table:

The Order of 15 November 1985 on the organization of public security exchanges in the department of Meurthe-et-Moselle is repealed from the

Article 3


The Director General of the National Police, the Central Director of Public Safety and the Prefect of Meurthe-et-Moselle are responsible for the execution of this Order, each of which will be published in the Official Gazette of the French Republic.
