ARRETE
Decree of 7 December 2004 on the implementation of the system for the computerised manufacturing and management of national identity cards

The Minister of the Interior, Internal Security and Local Freedoms and the Minister for Foreign Affairs,
In light of Decree No. 55-1397 of 22 October 1955, as amended Establishing the National Identity Card, and in particular Article 14,
Stop:

Article 1

The computerised manufacturing and management system for national secure identity cards is implemented Application on 1 January 2005 for applicants residing in Switzerland.
On that date, applications will be received and the national secure identity cards provided for in Article 6 of the above-mentioned Decree of 22 October 1955 will be issued.
To this same Date, shall cease to be issued, for the persons residing in that country, the national identity cards instituted by the decree of 22 October 1955 referred to above in its original version.

Article 2

The Director of Public Liberties and Legal Affairs of the Ministry of the Interior, Internal Security and Local Freedoms and the Director of the French Abroad and Foreign nationals in France of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are responsible for the execution of this Order, each of which will be published in the Official Gazette of the French Republic.
