ARRETE
Order of 30 December 2002 concerning the increase of the natural alcoholic strength by dry sugaring of fresh grapes and musts for the production of country wines and sparkling wines from the harvest 2002

the light of Council Regulation (EC) No 1493/1999 of 17 May 1999 on the common organisation of the market in wine;
In view of Regulation (EC) No 1493/1999 1622/2000 of the Commission of 24 July 2000 laying down detailed rules for the application of Regulation (EC) No 1493/1999;
Given the general tax code,

Article 1


In departments included in the wine-growing zone B and in the following departments: Allier, Hautes-Alpes, Cantal, Charente-Maritime, Corrèze, Côte-d ' Or, Drôme, Isère, Loire, Haute-Loire, Nièvre, Puy-de-Dôme, Rhône, Saône-et-Loire, Haute-Vienne and Yonne, enrichment by dry sugaring is allowed for fresh grapes and musts of the 2002 harvest provided that the wines obtained meet the conditions for the production of the wines of countries and are intended for marketing under the names respectively applicable to wines belonging to the latter category.
In The departments included in the wine-growing zone B and in the following departments: Allier, Hautes-Alpes, Cantal, Charente-Maritime, Corrèze, Côte-d ' Or, Drôme, Isère, Loire, Haute-Loire, Nièvre, Puy-de-Dôme, Rhône, Saône-et-Loire, Haute-Vienne and Yonne, enrichment by dry sugaring is allowed for fresh grapes and musts from the 2002 harvest, provided that the wines obtained are used for the development of sparkling wines.

Article 2


The enrichment referred to in this text, subject to the conditions set out in point D of Annex V to the Council Regulation (EC) of 17 May 1999, may To reach the limits set out therein.
If this operation is split, it is limited to three times for the same product.

Article 3


The Director General of Competition, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Prevention, the Director General of Customs and Indirect Rights at the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry and the Director General Economic and international policies in the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, Fisheries and Rural Affairs shall each be responsible for the execution of this Order, which shall be published in the Official Journal of the French Republic.
