Summary

The Government has decided to upgrade the monthly amount of the minimum income allowance (RMI) by 1.5 %. Accordingly, s. 1 of this Order brings, as of January 1, 2003, to 411.70 € the monthly amount allotted to a tenant. In addition, the Government has also decided to increase the allocation of the RMI to an amount of 152.45 € for one person, depending on the family configuration. This exceptional assistance will be paid to beneficiaries entitled to an RMI grant for the month of November 2002 or, failing that, in December 2002.

Decree No. 2002-1617 of 31 December 2002 revaluing the allocation of minimum income for insertion

The Prime Minister,
On the report of the Minister of Social Affairs, Labour and Solidarity,
Given the code of social action and families, including article L. 262-2;
In light of the amended Decree No. 88-1111 of 12 December 1988 on the determination of minimum income for insertion and the allocation of minimum income for insertion and amending the social security code,

The monthly amount of the minimum insertion income referred to in Article L. 262-2 of the Code of Social Action and Families is increased to EUR 411.70 by 1 January 2003.

The allowance paid to the beneficiaries of the minimum inclusion income for the month of November 2002 or, failing that, for the month of December 2002, is increased by an amount of EUR 152.45 for a single person, Increased, depending on the configuration of the household, in accordance with the scale set out in Article 1 of the decree of 12 December 1988 mentioned above.

The Minister of Social Affairs, Labour and Solidarity, the Minister of Economy, Finance and Industry, the Minister of Agriculture, Food, Fisheries and Rural Affairs, and The Minister responsible for the budget and budgetary reform shall each have responsibility for the implementation of this Decree, which shall be published in the Official Journal of the French Republic.
