Notice: This decree draws the consequences of the last paragraph of Article 24 of the Constitution from the Constitutional Law No. 2008-724 of 23 July 2008 the modernization of the institutions of the Fifth Republic, which provides for the representation of the French established outside of France in the Senate and the National Assembly. It provides for the designation of a Member of Parliament representing the French established outside of France within the permanent commission for the social protection of the French from abroad and takes into account the new title of the management of the French abroad and the consular administration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development.

The Prime Minister,
On the report of the Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Development,
Having regard to the Constitution, including article 24;
Vu le Decree No. 92-437 of 19 May 1992 establishing a permanent commission for the social protection of French from abroad,
Decrete:
The above-mentioned decree of 19 May 1992 is amended:
1° In clause 3, the words: "A senator" are replaced by the words: "A member and a senator";
2° In Article 6, the words "and foreigners in France" are replaced by the words "and consular administration".
The Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Development and the Secretary of State for Foreign Trade, the Promotion of Tourism and the French from abroad are responsible, each with regard to it, for the execution of this decree, which will be published in the Official Journal of the French Republic.
