Decree No. 2015-202 of 23 February 2015 on the publication of the French letter of 20 January 2014 notifying the lifting of the reservation to Appendix F of the Convention on International Rail Transport of 9 May 1980 as amended by the Vilnius Protocol of 3 June 1999 (1)

President of the Republic,
On the report of the Prime Minister and the Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Development,
Considering the Constitution, in particular articles 52 to 55;
Having regard to the amended Decree No. 53-192 of 14 March 1953 concerning the ratification and publication of the international commitments undertaken by France;
Having regard to Decree No. 87-722 of 25 August 1987 on the publication of the Convention on International Carriage by Rail (as a whole protocol and two appendices), signed in Bern on 9 May 1980, and a protocol on the implementation of the Convention, done in Bern on 17 February 1984;
In view of Decree No. 2006-1186 of 27 September 2006 on the publication of the Protocol Amending the Convention on International Carriage by Rail (OTIF) of 9 May 1980, adopted at Vilnius on 3 June 1999,
Decrete:

Article 1

The French letter dated 20 January 2014 notifying the lifting of the reservation to Appendix F of the Convention on International Rail Transport of 9 May 1980, as amended by the Vilnius Protocol of 3 June 1999, will be published in the Official Journal of the French Republic.

Article 2

The Prime Minister and the Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Development are responsible, each with respect to him, for the execution of this decree, which will be published in the Official Journal of the French Republic.

  By letter dated 26 June 2006, my Ministry had notified you that the Government of the French Republic had decided not to apply, for a transitional period, Appendices E (UI: Agreement for the Use of the International Railway Traffic Infrastructure), F (APTU: Adoption of the Uniform Technical Prescriptions applicable to the railway equipment intended to be used in international traffic), and G (ATMF: Technical Admission of Railway Equipment used in international traffic)
  I have the honour to inform you that France raises its reservations on Appendix F to the Convention (APTU: Adoption of Uniform Technical Prescriptions applicable to railway equipment intended to be used in international traffic).
  I would be grateful if you could inform me of the date on which this letter has been received.
