Decree No. 2014-533 of 26 May 2014 convening the electoral college for the election of senators representing the French established outside France

Audiences concerned: the electoral college convened to elect senators representing the French established outside France.
Subject: To call the electoral college for the election of senators representing the French established outside France.
Entry into force: the text comes into force on the day after its publication.
Notice: The purpose of this decree is to set the date of the convocation of the electoral college to proceed with the election of senators representing the French established outside France.
In accordance with the provisions of Organic Law No. 2005-1562 of 15 December 2005 amending the dates of Senate renewals that provide for the renewal of the terms of office of Senators in Series No. 2, including six senators representing the French established outside France, in September 2014, the electoral colleges are convened on Sunday, September 28, 2014 to elect senators.
Nominations are submitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs no later than Monday, 8 September, at 6 p.m.
For the election of senators representing the French established outside France, the polling station meets in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In addition, members of the electoral college may also vote on Saturday, September 20 in their electoral district, with the ambassador or consular postmaster.

Vu la Organic Law No. 2005-1562 of 15 December 2005 amending the dates of Senate renewals;
Vu le Electoral code ;
Vu la Act No. 83-390 of 18 May 1983 relating to the election of senators representing the French established outside France;
Vu la Act No. 2013-659 of 22 July 2013 concerning the representation of the French established outside France;
Vu le Decree No. 2014-290 of 4 March 2014 bringing electoral provisions relating to the representation of French citizens established outside France,

The Electoral College for the Election of Senators is convened on Sunday, September 28, 2014 to proceed with the election of six senators representing the French established outside France in the No. 2 series in Table No. 5 annexed to the Electoral code.

Nominations are submitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs no later than Monday, 8 September, at 6 p.m.

The poll will be opened at 9 a.m. and closed at 3 p.m.
By derogation from the provisions of the previous paragraph, the President of the Electoral College Office may declare the ballot closed before the scheduled time if he finds that all electors have taken part in the vote.
Members of the Electoral College will also be able to hand their votes in their own hands to an ambassador or to a consular post chief of their electoral district, on Saturday, September 20, 2014, from 10:00 to 12:00 (local legal hours), under the conditions provided for in the election districtArticle 51 of the Act of 22 July 2013 referred to above and by decree of 4 March 2014 referred to above.
