Key Benefits:
Individual protection equipment for sports or leisure practice (EPI-SL) manufactured in accordance with the standards listed in the table below are presumed to meet the essential health and safety requirements set out in Schedule III-5 of the Sport Code, for the requirements that are covered by these standards and in the scope of their application.
The same is true for EPI-SL manufactured in accordance with national standards adopted by the national standardization institutes of the other EU Member States or other States parties to the agreement establishing the European Economic Area or Turkey, as long as these standards transpose the same European standards as the French standards listed in this notice. The references to these European standards are contained in the communication of the European Commission 2013/C 364/01 published in the Official Journal of the European Union of 13 December 2013.
This notice cancels and replaces the notice relating to the application of section 4 of chapter II of title II of Book III of the Sports Code relating to the prevention of risks resulting from the use of personal protective equipment for sports or leisure practice published in the Official Journal of the French Republic of 24 January 2014 (NOR: PROI1401472V).
