Key Benefits:
By an order of the Minister of the Interior dated December 6, 2013, an external competition for the year 2014 was opened for the establishment of a suitability list for the duties of lieutenant of the first class of professional firefighters.
This competition will take place on the following dates:
– starting April 1, 2014, written proof of eligibility;
– starting October 1, 2014, physical and sporting admission tests;
― from November 3, 2014, oral admission tests.
Candidates who hold, by the date of commencement of the examinations, a title or diploma for two years of training classified at least at level III or a qualification recognized as equivalent to one of these titles or diplomas under the conditions set by the amended Decree of 13 February 2007:
― a graduate candidate must justify two years of continuous or non-performing professional experience, falling within the same socio-professional category as a lieutenant of the 1st class of professional firefighter defined in the intermediate professions of group 4 (medium and foreman or category B of the public service);
– a candidate with a degree below the bachelor's degree (BEP, CAP...) must justify three years of continuous or non-continuous professional experience in this socio-professional category;
― the total number of possible entries on the fitness list established under the 2014 External Lieutenant of Professional Firefighters Competition is 85 positions.
The competition will take place in Ile-de-France, Corsica and overseas.
Those who wish to make an application will have to proceed with their pre-registration on the Ministry of the Interior website at www.interieur.gouv.fr, from December 13, 2013 to February 6, 2014, at midnight, Paris time. Applicants will then have to print their pre-filled registration file, sign it and complete it with the required supporting documents and send it to the Ministry of Interior, General Directorate of Civil Security and Crisis Management, Management of Firefighters, Sub-direction of Resources, Skills and Employment Doctrine, Office of Status and Management, Place Beauvau, 75800 Paris Cedex 08.
Complete applications must be returned no later than February 13, 2014, the stamp of the position being held.
