Subject: Transposition of Commission Directive 2013/8/EU of 26 February 2013 amending the general provisions and requirements for mechanical connections between tractors and towed vehicles.
Entry into force: The effects of this Order will come no later than 31 March 2014.
Notice: certain types of mechanical connections between tractors and towed vehicles put into service in the European Union and concerned with ISO standards are currently authorized at the national level. These are non-rotary, ball and piton clay-type couplings. In order to take into account the current market situation, to minimize the potential economic and security implications and to allow the type-approval of these connections, it is necessary to integrate them as well as the relevant ISO standards in the regulations relating to the European reception of tractors and technical entities. This list of links complements the already existing one that includes the clay, hook and oscillating bar.

The CE reception and CE registration of mechanical connections in accordance with the technical rules amended by the above-mentioned Directive 2013/8/EU can be granted as soon as the official Journal of this Order is published.
The Director General of Energy and Climate at the Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy and the Director of Financial, Social and Logistics Affairs at the Ministry of Agriculture, Agri-Food and Forestry are responsible, each with respect to it, for the execution of this Order, which will be published in the Official Journal of the French Republic.
