This job is assigned to the direction of development and global public goods – the overall direction of globalization, development and partnerships, where the functional job holder is the director.
The direction of development and global public goods defines French development strategies and policies on global public goods. It participates in negotiations, provides guidance and monitoring of cooperation on global public goods and ensures their implementation by development operators. It participates in the development of positions on development assistance that France defends in international forums. It contributes to the definition of the French strategy vis-à-vis emerging countries in its areas of competence. It defines policies to strengthen democratic governance and institutional capacities of partner States. It is in relation to French companies within its areas of competence, in conjunction with the management of companies and the international economy. It provides, on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the guardianship of the French Development Agency and France international expertise. It prepares meetings of the Inter-Ministerial Committee on International Cooperation and Development, which is the joint secretariat on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
