In Title I of Book V of Part I of the Transport Code, a chapter III is created entitled "Smart Transport Systems" and includes an article L. 1513-1 as follows:
"Art. L. 1513-1. - Intelligent transport systems are devices that use computing and electronic communications technologies and are implemented in the road transport sector and its interfaces with other modes of transport to improve traffic management, enhance road transport safety, increase energy efficiency and reduce its impact on the environment and allow safer, better coordinated and more efficient use of transport networks.
"A decree defines priority areas and actions for which intelligent transport systems and the services they provide must comply with specifications to ensure the compatibility, interoperability and continuity of these services. »
The Prime Minister and the Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy are responsible for the application of this Order, which will be published in the Official Journal of the French Republic.
