Considering the amended Regulation (EC) No 300/2008 of the European Parliament and Council of 11 March 2008 on the establishment of common rules in the field of civil aviation safety;
Considering Commission Regulation (EC) No 272/2009 of 2 April 2009 as amended supplementing the common basic standards for civil aviation safety set out in the annex to Regulation (EC) No 300/2008 of the European Parliament and the Council;
In view of Commission Regulation (EU) No. 1254/2009 of 18 December 2009, setting out criteria for Member States to derogate from the common core standards for civil aviation safety and to adopt other security measures;
Considering Commission Regulation (EC) No. 185/2010 of 4 March 2010 as amended setting out detailed measures for the implementation of common core standards in the field of civil aviation safety;
Considering the transport code, including its articles L. 6341-2, L. 6723-1, L. 6753-1, L. 6763-5, L. 6773-5 and L. 6783-6;
Considering the Civil Aviation Code, including its article R. 213-1-1;
In light of the amended decision of 12 November 2003 on air transport safety measures,
Stop:
Sections 42 and 45 of the amended order dated 12 November 2003 relating to air safety measures are repealed.
When a passenger arrives to register a cargo bag, the air carrier is required to:
(a) To verify consistency between the following three documents:
a document attesting to the passenger's identity;
- the title of transport;
– a valid boarding card.
(b) To ensure that each passenger's cargo baggage includes the name of the passenger's cargo.
Section 2 of this Order is applicable in New Caledonia, French Polynesia and the Wallis and Futuna Islands.
The Director General of Civil Aviation, the Director General of the National Gendarmerie, the Director General of the National Police, the Director General of Customs and Indirect Rights and the delegate General of the Overseas are responsible, each with regard to the execution of this Order, which will be published in the Official Journal of the French Republic.
