Professional examination scheduled for examinationArticle 5 of Decree No. 2010-1640 of 23 December 2010 for access to the body of prison directors of insertion and probation shall be organized in accordance with the provisions of this Order.

The professional examination referred to in section 1 is open by order of the Seal Guard, Minister of Justice and Freedoms. This Order sets out the terms and conditions for the examination, as well as the date of the test and the number of positions to be filled.

Be admitted to taking part in the test of this examination the prison advisors of insertion and probation satisfying the conditions fixed to theArticle 5 of the Decree of 23 December 2010 referred to above.

The professional examination for access to the body of prison directors for insertion and probation includes an eligibility test and an admission test.
The eligibility test consists of writing a note from a professional record to verify the candidate's terms of expression, analysis and synthesis, as well as his ability to draw conclusions and formulate proposals (duration: three hours); coefficient 2).
The admission test consists of an interview with the jury to assess the personality, the ability of the candidate to perform the functions entrusted to the prison directors of insertion and probation as defined at thearticle 1 of the decree of 23 December 2010 referred to above and its motivation and recognition of the achievements of his professional experience. In order to conduct this interview, which begins with a presentation on his professional experience, the jury has the file constituted by the candidate for recognition of the achievements of the professional experience. During this interview, the candidate may be questioned on issues related to the public penitentiary service as well as his/her professional environment (duration: 30 minutes maximum, 10 minutes at most); coefficient 3).
Only the interview with the jury gives rise to the rating. The record of recognition of the achievements of the professional experience is not noted.
For this event, the organizing service will provide candidates upon registration with a standard file and all relevant information for the constitution of the latter.
The candidate prepares the record of recognition of his/her experience by describing his/her professional curriculum, his/her personal and professional motivations for the performance of the duties of prison director of insertion and probation. He will hand over this file to the organizing service on the date that will be fixed in the opening of the professional examination. Any file that has been completed without delay will be rejected.
The organizing service will transmit the record of recognition of professional experience to the members of the jury.
The record of recognition of the achievements of the professional experience and the help guide to filling are available on the intranet and internet sites of the Ministry of Justice and Freedoms.

The tests are rated from 0 to 20.

At the end of the eligibility test, the jury alphabetically sets out the list of candidates authorized to take part in the admission test. No one may be declared admissible if he has not obtained a written score fixed by the jury that cannot be less than 6 of 20.

At the end of the admission test, the jury determines by order of merit the list of candidates admitted. No one may be declared admitted if he has not obtained a score fixed by the jury which cannot be less than 10 of 20.
If several candidates total the same number of points, the priority is given to the one who obtained the highest rating in the admission test.

The jury, appointed by order of the Seal Guard, Minister of Justice and Freedoms, is composed of:
– the director of the prison administration or his representative, president;
- three category A officials of the Ministry of Justice and Freedoms, including at least two prison directors for insertion and probation;
a qualified external personality.
Qualified examiners, with advisory voice, may be deputy to the jury. The jury may form groups of examiners.
The decision designates the member of the jury who may replace the president in the event that the president is unable to continue his mission.

The director of the prison administration is responsible for the execution of this order, which will be published in the Official Journal of the French Republic.
