Key Benefits:
An Order of the Minister of the Interior, Overseas and Territorial Communities dated June 22, 2010, is open, under the year 2010, an external competition for the establishment of a list of suitability for the duties of lieutenant of professional firefighters.
This competition will take place on the following dates:
– starting on Tuesday, November 16, 2010: fitness and sports events;
– starting on Wednesday, December 1, 2010: written proof of eligibility;
starting on Monday, March 7, 2011: oral admission tests.
Candidates who hold a level II academic title or degree or who are approved at that level be admitted.
Level II diplomas obtained by validation of the acquired experience and recognized as such by National Education will be accepted subject to verification.
Candidates can validate the achievements of the professional experience (dispositions of the Decree No. 2007-196 of 13 February 2007 relating to the qualification equivalences required to compete in public service access competitions and employment frameworks, including Chapter II, section 6.
The trials of this competition will take place in the examination centres, which will be set later by the Ministry of Interior, Overseas and Territorial Communities.
Those who wish to make an application for this contest must submit, in writing, a request for a registration file, with an enclosed envelope of €0.90 (format 23 cm × 33 cm) to the Ministry of Interior, Overseas and Territorial Communities (direction of civil security, sub-direction of firefighters and relief actors, office of management and competitions, Place Paris Beauvau plus

Complete applications must be returned no later than Monday, September 6, 2010 (the stamp of the position being held).
No follow-up action will be reserved for applications made out of time, after August 30, 2010 and applications are incomplete or posted out of time after September 6, 2010.
An order of 9 March 2010 issued in the form of notice in the Official Journal of the French Republic specified that the number of possible entries on the aptitude list was set at 94.
