By order of the Minister of the Interior, Overseas and Territorial Communities dated December 23, 2008, the professional examination of majors of professional firefighters, scheduled to be heldArticle 5 of Decree No. 2001-681 of 30 July 2001 amended, for the purpose of establishing a fitness list for the functions of Professional Firefighters Major for the year 2009 will be held on the following dates:
– starting Wednesday, April 22, 2009: notation of applications;
starting on Monday, June 2, 2009: oral admission tests.
The number of possible entries on the aptitude list will be specified later by order published in the form of notice in the Official Journal of the French Republic.
A signed order of the Director of Civil Security will specify the list of candidates admitted to this professional examination.
The admission test will take place in the Civil Security Directorate (Asnières-sur-Seine) or, where applicable, in other examination centres.
Those who wish to make an application for this examination must submit, in writing, a request for a registration file, accompanied by an envelope (format 23 cm x 33 cm) freed at 0.86 euro, to the Ministry of Interior, Overseas and Territorial Communities (direction of civil security, sub-direction of firefighters and rescue actors, office of management and competitions, 1, Place Beauvau 2009
Applications can also be downloaded on the website of the overseas department and local authorities www.interieur.gouv.fr, "Director of Civil Security".
The deadline for receipt of complete applications by the competition organizing authority is Monday, March 9, 2009 (the stamp of the position being held).
No follow-up action will be reserved for applications made out of time (after 2 March 2009) and applications received out of time (after 9 March 2009).
Only registration records of eligible candidates will be reviewed by the Civil Security Directorate.
It is up to each candidate to ensure that their registration file is complete and perfectly constituted.
The incomplete files will be rejected and will result in the non-admission of the candidate concerned.
