The defense minister,
Given the heritage code, in particular Book II;
Considering Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 relating to computers, files and freedoms;
Given Law n ° 2008-696 of 15 July 2008 on archives;
Considering Decree No. 2005-850 of 27 July 2005 on delegation of signature of the members of the Government;

It is established in the Ministry of Defence to the direction of memory, heritage and archives of the General Secretariat for Administration, automated processing of personal data as 'Thoth', implemented by the Historian defense and whose purpose is the management of archives.

Recorded personal data categories are those relating to:
- The identity (of the player [full name, address, nationality, telephone and fax numbers, email, ID {type, number, date, place and issuing authority}, photography] staff [ full name, date of birth]);
- To professional life (of the [socio-professional category] player personnel [function]);
- Archives (inventories [odds list, description documents, list of payments made by various agencies of the Ministry]);
- Consultation documents (registration [number, date and place] search [subject, university, start date and end of the program, research director, purpose, theme, time]).
This record personal data is stored:
- Five years for data on the reader and research;
- Until the departure of the person concerned to the data relating to personnel;
- One year for data entry.
