Considering Decree No. 2002-254 of 22 February 2002 on the Institute of Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety, including Article 1;
Having regard to the advice of the Higher Council for the Prevention of Occupational Risk (Continuing Commission) of 5 December 2003;
Considering the opinion of the National Commission for Hygiene and Safety in Agriculture of 15 December 2003;
Having regard to the opinion of the National Commission on Informatics and Freedoms of 24 June 2004;

Decrete:
The Institute of Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety is authorized to use the registration number on the National Register of Identification of Physical Persons in an automated processing of personal information related to the monitoring of exposure of individuals to ionizing radiation.
This automated treatment, known as the ionizing radiation exposure monitoring system, is for all persons who are or have been exposed to ionizing radiation in a professional capacity and for which dosimetric monitoring is or has been established.
It ensures the centralization, operation and preservation of this information and the management of individual medical monitoring cards.
The right of access and rectification provided for in sections 39 and 40 of the Act of 6 January 1978 referred to above shall be exercised with the Institute of Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety.
Automated processing records the following categories of personal information:
1° The identity of persons exposed and persons mentioned in Article 4;
2° Data on exposure to ionizing radiation and the conditions of this workplace exposure.
The information concerning the individual exposure may be communicated to the persons referred to in articles R. 231-93 and R. 231-94 of the Labour Code under the conditions provided for in these articles and by the order provided for in article R. 231-95 of the same Code.
This information may be used for statistical or epidemiological purposes and be communicated in a non-nominative manner to the study and research organizations referred to in article R. 231-113 of the Labour Code under the conditions provided for in this article.
The registration number on the National Register for the Identification of Physical Persons is used for the sole purpose of identifying the persons described in section 1 above.
Decree No. 96-1108 of 17 December 1996 authorizing the use by the Office for the Protection against Atomic Radiation of the National Register for the Identification of Physical Persons in an automated treatment of nominal information relating to the monitoring of certain persons exposed to ionizing radiation is repealed.
The Minister of Employment, Labour and Social Cohesion and the Minister of Agriculture, Food, Fisheries and Rurality are responsible, each with respect to it, for the execution of this decree, which will be published in the Official Journal of the French Republic.
