Key Benefits:
Four competitions for admission to the Special Military School of Saint-Cyr will be held in 2006:
- science contest;
- competition for economic and social sciences;
- contest letters ;
- Baccalaureate + 3 competition.
The Eligibility Tests for the Science Competition will take place on May 3, 4, 5 and 9, 2006, as part of the Notes Bank of the Polytechnical Joint Competition Service (PCSC); admissions, from 18 June to 3 July 2006.
The examinations for the economic and social sciences competition, an economic option, will take place on May 2, 5, 9, 10 and 11, 2006 as part of the joint bank of essays written for high commercial education (CCIP); admissions, from 3 to 9 July 2006.
The Eligibility Tests for the Letters Contest, Option A/L, B/L and LSH, will take place on May 4, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 15, 2006 as part of the Joint Test Bank for High Commercial Education (CCIP); admissions, 4-10 July 2006.
The competitive examinations for the bac + 3 competition will take place on 22 March 2006 as part of the organization adopted by the competition department of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris (CCIP); admissions, from 28 June to 3 July 2006.
All admission tests will be organised in the Paris region by the command of the formation of the army of land (CoFAT).
The number of places offered to each competition will be subject to an order to be issued in the Official Journal of the French Republic.
Candidates may run the same year as only one of these four contests and must meet the conditions of application for the admission examinations to the Saint-Cyr Military Special School set by the amended July 25, 2002.

Science Competition: the application file can be obtained after registration on the Internet: http://www.scei-concours.org, until January 15, 2006, at the Multitechnical Joint Competitions (SCCP).
Competitions Economic and Social Sciences and Letters: The application file can be obtained after registration on the Internet: http://www.concours-bce.com, until January 15, 2006, with the board of admissions and competitions of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris (DAC/CCIP).
Bac + 3 competitions: the application file can be obtained after registration on the Internet: http://www.dac-concours.net, between 1st and 17th February 2006, from the board of admissions and competitions of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris (DAC/CCIP).
For all the contests, the file concerning the command of the formation of the army of land (CoFAT) can be obtained on the website of the CoFAT: http://www.cofat.terre.defense.gouv.fr and must be sent before 1 February 2006 to the following address: command of the formation of the army of land (office contest, section direct recruitment), BP 120, 00466 Armées.
Candidates from foreign states may also compete for admission to the Military Special School on a foreign basis. The modalities of the contest are defined by special instruction.
