Key Benefits:
An order of the Minister of State, Minister of Interior and Land Management, dated November 30, 2005 opened a professional competition for the year 2006 for the establishment of a fitness list for the functions of master of professional firefighters.
This competition will take place on the following dates:
- starting on Monday, April 10, 2006: eligibility (review of applications);
- from Monday, May 29, 2006: oral admission tests.
Candidates may be nominated for senior or first-class lieutenants or second-class lieutenants who justify four years of cumulative effective service as lieutenant.
The possible number of entries on the aptitude list will be specified later by order published in the form of notice in the Official Journal of the French Republic.
The oral examinations of this competition will take place in the direction of civil defence and security, 87-95, dock of the Doctor-Dervaux, 92600 Asnières, or, if any, in another examination centre.
Those who wish to apply for this examination should:
- to submit, in writing, a request for a registration file, accompanied by an enclosed envelope of 0.75 (format 23 x 33 cm), to the Ministry of Interior and Land Management, Directorate of Civil Defence and Security (Office of Statutes and Management), 1, Place Beauvau, 75800 Paris Cedex 08, no later than 6 March 2006 (the stamp of the position being held)

Complete applications must be returned by March 13, 2006 (the stamp of the position being held).
No follow-up action will be reserved for applications made out of time (after March 6, 2006) and applications are incomplete or completed without delay (after March 13, 2006).
