An Order from the Minister of the Interior The overseas and local authorities of 11 June 2007 opened an external competition for the year 2007 for the establishment of an aptitude list for the duties of professional firefighters.
This competition Take place on the following dates:
-from Monday, November 19, 2007: physical and athletic fitness tests;
-from Tuesday, December 18, 2007: written eligibility tests;
-as of March 1, 2007: Oral admission tests.
Candidates for the period of up to twenty-nine years of age may be nominated as at 1 January 2007 (subject to the age limits provided for in the laws and regulations) and holders, by Elsewhere, of a university degree or diploma II or approved at that level, and whose list was fixed by the decree of 18 October 2001 establishing the list of diplomas of higher education and titles of technological education Allowing for the external competition of Lieutenant-Fire Fighters Professionals.
The tests for this competition will take place in the examination centres, the list of which will be determined at a later date by the Ministry of Interior, Overseas and Territorial

Application to this competition must send, in writing, a request for a registration dossier, accompanied by a postage-paid envelope of EUR 0.82 (format 23 cm x 33 cm), to the Ministry of the Interior, Overseas and Local and Regional Authorities, Directorate of Civil Defence and Security (Management Office and Competitions), place Beauvau, 75800 Paris Cedex 08, no later than Monday, 10 September 2007 (the postmark being the postmark).
