Decree of 20 May 2005 on controlled appellation of origin " Corbières-Bouaining "

Prime Minister,
On the report of the Minister of Agriculture, Food, Fishing and Rural Affairs and the Minister of Small and Medium Enterprises, Trade, Handicrafts, Liberal professions and consumption,
Having regard to Council Regulation (EC) No 1493/1999 of 17 May 1999 on the common organisation of the market in wine and the regulations made for its application;
Given the code General tax;
Given the customs code;
Given the rural code;
Given the code of consumption;
In view of Decree No. 2001-510 of 12 June 2001 on the application of the consumption code with regard to wines, sparkling wines, wines Sparkling wines and liqueurs wines;
Given the proposal of the National Wine and Life Committee of the National Institute of Appellations of Origin on 3 and 4 November 2004,

The geographical area of production of wines is constituted by the territory of the The following communes of the Aude: Boutings, Ferrals-les-Corbières, Fabrezan, Saint-Laurent-de-la-Cabrerisse, Thézan-des-Corbières, Monséret, Saint-André-de-Roquelongue, Luc-sur-Orbieu, Ornaisons and Lézignan-Corbières.
The wines are from grapes harvested in the geographical area Of production, in an area delimited by parcel or part of parcel as approved by the National Wine and Life Committee of the National Institute of Appellations of Origin during its sitting of 3 and 4 November 2004 on Proposal by the committee of experts designated for this

I. -The wines come from the carignan grape varieties N, grenache N, syrah N et mourvèdre N.

The vines are Planted and cut according to the following provisions:
1 ° Planting density:
The vines planted as of 27 April 2001 have a minimum planting density of 4 000 feet per hectare. The vines planted as of 20 May 2005 have a minimum planting density of 4,400 feet per hectare.
The vines planted as of April 27, 2001, cannot have a row spacing greater than 2.50 metres.
2 ° Size:

The wines are derived from grapes harvested at good maturity and have a minimum natural alcoholic strength by 12 %.

The basic yield referred to in Article R. 641-73 of the Rural Code is set at 45 hectolitres per hectare. Of the appellation of origin controlled may be granted to wines originating from young vines only from:

Wines are vinified according to local custom.
The grapes from the carignan N grape are harvested manually and transported whole to the wineries.
The wines are obtained either By classical vinification incorporating the headscarf The

The wines are presented for the analytical and organoleptic examinations for the grant by the National Institute of Designations of Origin of a certificate of fitness for the grant of the certificate Of approval pursuant to R. 641-94 to R. 641-98 of the Rural code, under the conditions laid down in the rules of procedure provided for in the regulations relating to such examinations.
Wine shall be presented in the form of a bottle of analytical and organoleptic examinations for the grant by the National Institute Designations of origin of a certificate of approval, under the conditions laid down in Articles R. 641-94 to R. 641-98 of the Rural Code.
The issue of the certificate of approval shall be issued as soon as 1 January of the second year following that of the Harvest and at least three months after the wine is bottled.
