The number of posts put into the competition and the closing dates of the entries shall be fixed by joint decree of the minister responsible for equipment and the minister responsible for the public service and published in the Official Gazette of the Republic French. The contest shall consist of three tests Written eligibility, an oral eligibility test, an oral admission test, and an optional foreign language test.
Pre-eligibility written tests include:

The jury is presided over by a general engineer of bridges and pavements whose voice is predominant in the event of equal voice sharing. The Board also has at least nine other members chosen because of their qualifications.
