Two competitions, one internal, the other on titles, and a professional examination are organized by the Personnel, Modernization and Administration Directorate for the recruitment of industry and mining engineers.


I. -Internal competition


Number of positions offered: later publication.
Deadline for registration or filing of files: Monday, 22 April 2002.
Dates of written tests: Tuesday, 14 and Wednesday 15 May 2002.
Admission requirements (assessed as at 1 January 2002):
1. Public servant or public official of the state;
2. Justify four years of effective service in this capacity;
3. Not more than three times in the competition.
Nature and Event Program:
The competition consists of four qualifying written tests and an oral admission test.
Written evidence of eligibility:
1. Composition on a general subject (duration: four hours; coefficient 2);
2. Composition of mathematics (duration: four hours; coefficient 1);
3. Composition of physics-chemistry (duration: four hours; coefficient 1);
4. Composition on an economy subject (duration: four hours; coefficient 1).
Intake oral evidence:
Interview with the jury (duration: 40 minutes; coefficient 4).
Only allowed to participate in the admission test Candidates who, after deliberation by the jury, are awarded a score of more than 10 out of 20 in each of the four tests.


No one can be declared admitted if he or she does not receive at least the mark From 12 out of 20 to the oral exam. -Competitions on titles

Start date of events: from Monday, June 24, 2002.
Admission requirements (assessed as at 1 January 2002):
1. Etre ancien pupil français des écoles nationales supérieures des techniques industrielles et des mines d' Albi, Alès, Nantes ou Douai;
2. Having obtained the diploma of engineer from these schools at the end of his education;
3. To be at most thirty-five years of age (this age limit is remote, where applicable, by application of the military service and family expense regulations).
Nature of the test:
This test consists of a Interview with board members including the candidate's professional experience and ability to perform the duties of industry and mining engineer (duration of maintenance: thirty minutes).


III. -Professional Review

Deadline for registration or filing: Tuesday, April 30, 2002.
Date of written tests: Thursday, 30 and Friday, May 31, 2002.
Admission requirements (assessed as at 1 January 2002):
1. Be an industry and mining technician;
2. Justify eight years of effective service in this capacity.
Nature and testing program:
The professional examination includes the following tests:
Written evidence Eligibility:
1. Study of a file of general scope (duration: four hours; coefficient 2);
2. Case study relating to a subject relating to one of the following subjects chosen by the candidate (duration: four hours; coefficient 2):
A.-Controls Techniques:
a) Pressure vehicles and appliances;
b) Metrology;
B.-Industrial development and quality;
C.-Industrial and energy environment and safety:
a) Classified installations;
b) Soil, subsoil and energy ;
3. Memory and memory capacity (duration: forty-five minutes; coefficient 4).
Oral admission tests:
1. Oral evidence of technology (duration: thirty minutes; coefficient 2);
2. Interview with the board (duration: thirty minutes; coefficient 2).
Any score less than 5 out of 20 in one of the eligibility or admission tests is Eliminatory.
No one can be admitted to the oral admission tests if he or she has received at least half of the maximum points for qualifying events, or 80 points.
