Law on cultural activities in municipalities

In accordance with the decision of the Parliament:

ARTICLE 1
Municipality's activities in the field of culture

The municipality's role is to promote, support and organise cultural activities in the municipality. It is also the task of the municipality to arrange for the inhabitants of the municipality to have access to the basic teaching of art and to the teaching of activities in the various fields of art.

ARTICLE 2
Cultural activities

Cultural activities include the pursuit of artistic and artistic activities, the provision and use of works of art, local employment and the promotion and promotion of local cultural heritage.

State share and grant

The municipality is granted a State contribution to cultural activities, in accordance with the law on the state of the basic services of the municipality (1704/2009) Provides.

More detailed provisions

More detailed provisions on the implementation of this law shall be adopted, where appropriate, by a regulation.

§ 5
Entry into force

This Act shall enter into force on 1 January 1993.

This law repeals the Law of 30 December 1980 on the cultural activities of the municipalities (185/80) With its subsequent modifications.

Before the law enters into force, measures may be taken to implement it.
