In accordance with the decision of the Parliament, provides for: the prevention of adverse effects of radiation, and article 1 of the restriction of the use of radiation and nuclear energy safety oversight, as well as related research, education and information is subject to the Ministry of Social Affairs and health radiation protection centre.

section 4 of the Radiation Safety Centre can within the limits of the use of the statement of revenue and expenditure, if necessary, to experts and to make the limits of the agreements with other public authorities, communities and individuals, as well as studies and reports with the exchange of information and cooperation with other's work within the research institutes and higher education institutions with a view to the implementation of joint research programmes.
section 5 of the radiation protection centre shall have the right to charge at the request of the inspection reports and studies, as well as other services, as provided for in the regulation. Instead it is to be used, what the basis of payment, the law of the State (980/73).
State maksuperusteL 980/1973 has been revoked in the State maksuperusteL:lla 150/1992.
More detailed provisions on the implementation of article 6 of this law shall be imposed by regulation.
section 7 of This Act shall enter into force on 1 March 1984.
It repeals the säteilyturvallisuuslaitoksesta law of 20 June 1974 (536/74).
In this Act, the said posts and functions can be set up and filled in before the entry into force of the law. Also be used prior to the entry into force of this law to take other measures needed to implement the law.
