In accordance with the decision of the Parliament, which has been adopted in accordance with Article 67 of the Statutes,:

ARTICLE 1

The Parliament shall elect eighteen members of the Nordic Council and an equal number of alternates from among its members to the Nordic Council. (21.1.2000/34)

The term of office of the chosen shall begin as soon as they have been elected and shall continue until the new election has taken place.

ARTICLE 2 (4.2.1970/89)

The members of the Nordic Council elected by the Parliament, the representatives appointed by the government and the Åland delegation shall comprise the Finnish delegation of the Nordic Council. (29.12.1987)

The Åland delegation is composed of two members of the Åland Assembly and representatives appointed by the Åland Regional Government. (29.12.1987)

The Board of Directors and the Government of the Government do not have the right to vote. (29.12.1987)

The elected members of the delegation shall elect a Chairperson and a Deputy Chairperson from among their number, in the order provided for by the election of the President and the Vice-Presidents. (29.12.1987)

ARTICLE 3 (20.12.1991/1648)

The delegation shall elect, at its first meeting, for the preparation and management of matters, the Bureau, composed of the Chairperson and the Vice-Chair, and a sufficient number of other members of the delegation.

Paragraph 2 has been repealed by L 25.10.1996/7 .

§ 4 (25.10.1996/7)

The delegation's secretariats shall be carried out in the office of the Parliament. However, the staff of the delegation shall be appointed by the Permanent Representatives Committee, the secretaries of the delegation, after consulting the delegation.

At the time of entry into force of the Act, the staff of the Finnish delegation of the Finnish delegation will be transferred to the staff of the Parliament's Office.

Before the law enters into force, measures may be taken to implement the law.

§ 4a-4b

Articles 4a to 4b have been repealed by L 31.12.1987 TO 1257 .

§ 5

The delegation shall report annually to the Parliament on the activities of the Nordic Council.

ARTICLE 6

This Act shall enter into force on 14 April 1960 and repeals the Act of 14 December 1955 on the election of representatives to the Nordic Council (103/55) .
