DECREE NO 754.-

THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR,

CONSIDERING:

I.-The Technical Cooperation Agreement, between the Government of the Republic of El Salvador, through the Social Investment Fund and the Government of the United Mexican States, through the National Program of Solidarity of the Secretariat social development; convinced of the benefit of supporting the The implementation of programs and projects of a social character for the development of both countries, recognize the importance of international technical cooperation as one of the most effective ways to overcome the different problems that

III.-That the convention on the political rights of women, puts into practice the

principle of equal rights of men and women, as set out in the Charter of the United Nations, establishing that everyone has the right to participate in the government of their country directly or through freely chosen representatives and has equal opportunities for entry into the public service of their country;

FOR TANTO,

in use of their constitutional powers, and on the initiative of the President of the Republic, through the Minister of Foreign Affairs and pursuant to Article 131 ordinal 7 ° and 168 ordinal 4 ° of the Constitution,

DECCRETA:

Art. 1. The following Agreements and Agreements are ratified in all parts of the Party:

a) Technical Cooperation Agreement. Between the Government of the Republic of El Salvador, to bring the Social Investment Fund and the Government of the United Mexican States, to the National Solidarity Program of the Secretariat of Social Development, signed in the City of San Salvador. Salvador, on July 14 of the current year, by the Lic. Roberto H. Murray Meza, who was authorized by the Agreement No. 444 Bis, dated July 8, this year, to appear in acts of this nature; and Mr. Carlos Rojas, Sub Secretary for Social Development and General Coordinator of the National Solidarity Programme; approved by the Authority Executive at the Foreign Affairs Ramo, by means of Agreement No. 594 dated September 16, 1993;

b) Agreement between the Republic of El Salvador and the United States of America on Cooperation to Combat Drug trafficking and drug addiction, signed in the City of San Salvador, on July 14 of this year, by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, of that time, Doctor José Manuel Pacas Castro; and by the Foreign Secretary of the United Mexican States, Don Fernando Solano; approved by the Authority Executive at the Ramo de Relaciones Exteriores, by means of Agreement No. 597 dated September 16, 1993;

c) Convention on the Political Rights of Women; open for signature in the City of New York, United States of America, 31 December March 1993, signed on behalf of the Government and State of El Salvador, by Mr. Miguel Rafael Urquilla, Permanent Representative of the Republic of El Salvador to the United Nations, on 24 June 1953; approved by the Authority Executive at the Ramo de Relaciones Exteriores, by means of the Agreement No. 749 dated November 11, 1993.

Art. 2.-This Decree shall enter into force from the day of its publication in the Official Journal.
