DECREE No. 879 THE LEGISLATURE OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR, CONSIDERING
:
I.- The Foundation Help Children Living with Cancer Pro- El Salvador, performed nonprofit work on behalf of children with leukemia.
II.- to fulfill this task, it is necessary to purchase medicines and reagents from abroad, in order to meet the required medical needs, whether for free or onerous.
III.- That besides incurring expenses for the purchase of such medicines, also you pay the respective taxes for such imports.
IV That it is necessary to exempt from taxes for a period of one year, the import of drugs and reagents that Foundation enter the country.
V.- That pursuant to the powers that this Legislature conferred by Art. 131 of the Constitution of the Republic, is exempt from paying taxes, including warehousing, which may cause the introduction into the country of referred drugs and reagents.
THEREFORE,
in exercise of its constitutional powers and initiative of Deputies Carmen Elena Calderón de Escalón and Alejandro Dagoberto Marroquin Cabrera. DECREES
:
Art. 1. hereby declared exempt from taxes or tax rates for one year, including warehousing, except for the Tax on the Transfer of Movable Property and Provision of Services (VAT), which can cause imports of medicines and reagents Foundation Live Help me make.
The Foundation shall report quarterly to the Assembly on all goods brought into the country, covered by this Decree.
Art. 2. This Decree shall enter into force from the day of its publication in the Official Journal.
