THE LEGISLATURE OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR, CONSIDERING
:
I.- on January 30, 2006, the Government of the Republic of El Salvador I acceded by Executive Agreement No. 74 to the Convention on the Privileges and Immunities of the Specialized Agencies, adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on 21 November 1947. II
such instrument has been approved by Executive Decision No. 346 of 19 May 2006 and submitted for consideration by the Legislature for inclusion in the Salvadoran, effective and positive law.
III that this instrument contains no provision contrary to the Constitution, being from ratification.
THEREFORE,
in use of the power provided for in Art. 131, 7th ordinal. of the Constitution, in relation to Art. 168, ordinal 4o. of it, and initiative of the President of the Republic, five years 2004-2009, through the Minister of Foreign Affairs, DECREES
:
Art. 1. ratified the Convention on the Privileges and Immunities of the Specialized Agencies, adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on November 21, 1947, International instrument consisting of a preamble and eleven articles final texts and revised texts of the Annexes I, International Labour Organization (translation); II, the United Nations Organization for Food and Agriculture (translation revised text and second revised text); III, Organization International Civil Aviation Organization (translation); IV, United Nations Organization for Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (translation); V, International Monetary Fund (translation); VI, International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (translation); VII, World Health Organization (translation revised text, second and third revised text revised text); VIII, Universal Postal Union (translation); IX International Telecommunication Union (translation); X, International Refugee Organization (translation); XI, World Meteorological Organization (translation); XII, Intergovernmental Maritime Consultative Organization (revised text and translation); XIII International Finance Corporation (translation); XIV; International Development Association (translation) and XVII, United Nations Industrial Development Organization, adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on 21 November 1947, to which the Government of the Republic of El Salvador joined by means of Executive Agreement No. 74 of 30 January 2006, approved by the Executive Body

in the Field of Foreign Affairs by Agreement No. 346 of 19 May 2006. All with the following statement:
The Government of the Republic of El Salvador in accordance with the provisions of Article VII , Section 24 and Article IX, Section 32 of the Convention related declares not to be bound by the provisions of the above sections, not to recognize the compulsory jurisdiction of the International Court of Justice.
Art. 2. This Decree shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the Official Journal.
