THE LEGISLATURE OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR, CONSIDERING
:
I.- accordance with Article 131, ordinal 11, of the Constitution of the Republic is empowered to this Legislature to enact, in a general way, and tax incentives or benefits of any nature, for the promotion of cultural, scientific and any other.
II It is the duty of the State to protect, promote and encourage craft production as an important element of cultural heritage, making visible to people who are dedicated to the craft, who are the main figure as processors and culture they also contribute greatly to the economic, cultural, social and tourist development of El Salvador.
III.- as a stimulus and considering that the National Artisan and Artisan are those who contribute to heighten the prestige of our country, nationally and internationally, through the execution of their works of art, it becomes necessary that the November 15 of each year, as representatives of a broad sector of the national economic fabric, enjoy the recognition they deserve in our society, decreeing that date as the "day of the Artisan and Artisan Salvadoreño".
THEREFORE,
in exercise of its constitutional powers and initiative of Deputies: Yohalmo Edmundo Cabrera Chacon, Douglas Leonardo Mejia Aviles, Inmar Rolando Reyes and Jaime Hernandez Gilberto Valdez. DECREES
:
Art. 1. Law No. 737 reformed, dated July 1, 1981 Decree, published in the Official Gazette No. 120 Volume No. 272, of the same date, in which "National Craft Day" is declared, in the sense that 15 November each year, "Day Crafts and Craftsman Salvadoreño" is declared.
Art. 2. This Decree shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the Official Journal.
