INDEX LEGISLATIVE DECREE No. 1053

THE LEGISLATURE OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR, CONSIDERING
:
I.- by Legislative Decree No. 1004, dated February 15, 2012, published in the Official Journal No. 40, Volume No. 394 of February 28 the same year, the House authorized the Executive Branch in the Field of Finance to by the holder or the representative designated by him, subscribe on behalf of the State and Government of the Republic of El Salvador a financing agreement with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), for an amount of up to eleven million one hundred fifty thousand special drawing rights (SDR 11,150,000.00), equivalent to approximately sEVENTEEN MILLION SEVEN HUNDRED TWELVE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED EIGHTY-NINE 47/100 DOLLARS oF tHE UNITED STATES oF AMERICA (US $ 17,712,889.47), to finance the implementation of the "Rural Territorial Competitiveness Programme (Amanecer Rural)".
II.- That the aforementioned Loan Agreement was signed on March 9, 2012, by Mr. Kanayo F. Nwanze, President of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), and March 16, 2012, by the Mr. Carlos Enrique Cáceres Chávez, Minister of Finance, in correspondence to the authorization granted by the above related Legislative Decree No. 1004.
III.- because they have met the requirements of legal order required in our legislation, the Loan Agreement, which has been submitted to the Assembly be approved in all its parts for which it has complied to the provisions of Art. 148 of the Constitution of the Republic.
THEREFORE,
in exercise of its constitutional powers, DECREES
:
Art. 1. To approve in its entirety the Financing Agreement No. I-828-SV signed with the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), March 9, 2012, by Mr. Kanayo F. Nwanze, President of the International Fund Agricultural development (IFAD) and the March 16, 2012, by Mr. Carlos Enrique Cáceres Chávez, Minister of Finance, for an amount of up to eleven million one hundred fifty thousand special drawing rights (SDR 11,150,000.00), equivalent to approximately sEVENTEEN MILLION SEVEN HUNDRED TWELVE HUNDRED EIGHTY-NINE THOUSAND DOLLARS 47/100 UNITED STATES (US $ 17,712,889.47), to finance the implementation of the "Rural Territorial Competitiveness Programme (Amanecer Rural)".
Art. 2. This Decree shall enter into force from the day of its publication in the Official Journal.
