INDEX LEGISLATIVE CONSTITUTIONAL REFORM AGREEMENT No. 6
THE LEGISLATURE OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR, CONSIDERING
I.- the deputies to the Central American Parliament by the State of El Salvador, are elected officials, which is of them of legality and legitimacy.
II.- That the Protocol of Amendment to the Constitutive Treaty of PARLACEN and other political bodies in Article twenty on immunities and privileges, stipulates that the Central American Parliament deputies shall "in the State where they were elected, the same immunities and privileges enjoyed by Members of Congress or National Assembly. "
III.- that in relation to the responsibilities of Members of the Central American Parliament, are not expressly provided for in Article 236 of our Primary Act, what it is appropriate to incorporate the constitutional text to respond to the Legislature by the official and common crimes they commit.
in exercise of its constitutional powers and initiative of the deputies: Othon Sigfrido Reyes Morales, Luis Roberto Angle Samayoa, José Nelson Guardado Menjivar, Norma Guevara Ramirios Fidelia, Rafael Eduardo Paz Velis, Mario Antonio Ponce Lopez, Zoila Beatriz Quijada Solís, Jackeline Noemi Rivera Avalos, Gilberto Mejia and Rivera Karina Ivette Sosa Lara
AGREES: the following amendment to the Constitution, issued by Decree Constituent No. 38, dated December 15, 1983 published in the Official Gazette No. 234, Volume No. 281, dated December 16 the same year, the Constituent Assembly.
Article 1. reformed the first paragraph of Article 236 as follows:
"Art. 236. The President and Vice President, the members of the Legislative Assembly, Members of the Central American Parliament by the State of El Salvador, the Designates to the Presidency, Ministers and Deputy Ministers of State, the President and Judges of the Court Supreme Court of Justice and the Chambers of Second Instance, the President and Judges of the Court of Accounts of the Republic, the Attorney General's Office, the Attorney General's Office, the Attorney for the Defense of Human Rights, the President and magistrates of the Supreme Electoral Tribunal, and the diplomatic representatives, answerable to the Legislature by the official and common crimes they commit. "
