1 index Legislative Decree No. 96 LA Legislative Assembly of the Republic of EL SALVADOR, considering: I.-that article 168, Ordinal 15 of the Constitution, States that it is attribution and obligation of the President of the Republic to ensure the effective management of public affairs.
II. that by means of Legislative Decree No. 779 of dated 25 July 1996, published in Official Journal No. 156, vol. No. 332, August 23 of the same year, was issued the law of the Salvadoran Tourism Corporation.
III.-that it is necessary to establish the legal powers that allow public administration select more competent private sector officials, through the opening and diversity of ideas; so it is necessary to introduce relevant reforms to the law referred to in the previous recital.
Therefore, on the initiative of the President of the Republic, by the Minister of tourism and use of his constitutional powers.
Following DECRETAlas: reforms to the law of the Corporation SALVADORAN of tourism article 1.-replace in article 8, first subparagraph, letter e), with the following: "e) four directors from the non-governmental sector, elected representatives and appointed by the President of the Republic an open list of candidates of the Union entities of the private company with legal personality" of non-governmental organizations with legal personality related to the theme of tourism and trade unions of enterprises related to the law. Mentioned entities wishing to include candidates in the list must select them according to their domestic systems. Referring to the literal present procedures will be regulated by law".
Article 2.-the directors that were proposed in turn by private business associations related to the tourism sector and who were appointed by the President of the Republic and they are serving to the date of entry into force of this Decree, last in their functions until the 31 of August 2012, unless they have already been appointed representatives in accordance with the present Decree or new appointments are in process according to the provisions of the present reform, in which case will continue serving as long as you do not perform this.
