1 index Legislative Decree No. 121 LA Legislative Assembly of the Republic of EL SALVADOR, considering: I.-that by Legislative Decree No. 903 of December 14, 2005, published in the Official Journal No. 8, volume no. 370 on January 12, 2006, passed the organic law of the General Directorate of customs.
II.-that the code customs uniform Central American (CAUCA), recognizes the figure of the customs agent, as an Assistant authorized to act generally on behalf of third parties in procedures, regimes and customs operations, as a natural person, under the conditions and requirements established in this code and its regulations.
III.-that also, the code customs uniform Central American (CAUCA), sets that besides meet with others requirements established in this, it person natural that request it authorization to act as agent customs must accredit, be national of any of them States and own the grade academic of degree in matter customs or own grade academic in degree in other disciplines of studies in which case the applicant must provide proof of at least two years of experience in customs matters.
IV.-that the law referred to in recital first of this Decree, does not set requirements that must comply with the natural person concerned be authorized as a customs agent, so it is necessary to adapt the content of this with the provisions of the code customs uniform Central American (CAUCA) and its regulations.

Decree: Article 1.-insert between the Arts. 36 and 37, article 36-A, as well: article 36-A.-the natural person seeking authorization to act as customs agent, must demonstrate, among others, the following requirements: to) be a national of any of the States parties;
b) possess the academic degree Bachelor in customs matters;

Article 2.-the present Decree shall enter in force eight days after its publication in the daily official.
