1 DECREE No. 205

THE LEGISLATURE OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR, CONSIDERING
:
I.- accordance with Articles 131, ordinal 11th and 37 of the Constitution respectively, it is this power to enact Legislative Assembly, generally, benefits and tax incentives or other nature, to promote, scientific, agricultural, industrial, or other cultural activities; and that work is a social function which enjoys the protection of the State and is not considered an article of commerce.
II of the Convention of the International Labour Organisation ILO Convention No. 155 on Safety and Health of Workers and Working Environment, ratified by El Salvador by Legislative Decree No. 30 dated June 15, 2000, published in the Official Gazette No. 348 of July 19 the same year, stipulates that each State must adopt laws or regulations and in consultation with the organizations of employers and workers the necessary measures to implement and give effect to the existing national policy this subject.
III.- That pursuant to the General Law on Risk Prevention in the Workplace, which is to establish the requirements of occupational safety and health requirements therein, in order to establish the basic framework of guarantees and responsibilities to ensure an adequate level of protection for the safety and health of workers, against the risks arising from their work, and according to their physiological and psychological aptitudes for them.
IV.- That the declaration of a national day of people maquila workers, is a valuable contribution to the assessment of economic, social and cultural rights that working people live daily, also showing the importance of their I work in the textile maquila industry; It is necessary to reiterate that the right to work should be promoted and protected by the state, so it may be decided on 5 July each year, "NATIONAL DAY OF PERSON maquila worker."
THEREFORE,

Art. 1. It is declared on 5 July each year, "NATIONAL DAY OF PERSON WORKING MAQUILA" in recognition of the contribution and contribution to this important sector offers to society.
