THE LEGISLATURE OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR, CONSIDERING
.
I.- accordance with Article 131, ordinal 11 of the Constitution, is empowered to this Legislature enact, in general, benefits and tax incentives or other nature, to promote, scientific, agricultural, industrial, or other cultural activities.
II.- That the Convention of the United Nations states that corruption is a threat to the stability and security of societies, undermining the institutions and values ​​of democracy, ethical values ​​and justice, compromising sustainable development and the rule of law. That
III in 2003, having the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed December 9 as the International Anti-Corruption Day is coming, to join efforts to combat this practice, making 9 December each year, "NATIONAL DAY AGAINST CORRUPTION" as a mechanism to make our society aware of its consequences and the need to combat it.
THEREFORE,

Art. 1. It is declared on 9 December each year, "NATIONAL DAY AGAINST CORRUPTION" as a mechanism to make our society aware of its consequences and the need to combat it.
Art. 2. This Decree shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the Official Journal.
