1 Decree Nº 292 the Legislative Assembly of the Republic of EL SALVADOR, considering: (I).-in accordance with article 131, paragraph 11 of the Constitution, is Faculty of this legislature enact, in General, benefits and tax incentives or of any nature, for the promotion of cultural, scientific, agricultural, industrial, or other.
II.-what in addition, article 65 of this standard, establishes that the health of the inhabitants of the Republic, constitutes a public good, to which effect the State and people, are obliged to ensure their conservation and restoration.
III.-which according to the health code, corresponds to the Ministry of health, carry out the actions necessary to protect the population from zoonoses, Chagas disease, considered one of which transmitted from animals to the human species.
IV.-that the risks existing in the communities, favor high levels of infestation and dispersal of Triatominae, transmitter vector of chagas disease; increasing this situation, vulnerability and the risk of proliferation of the same, so do not take the necessary measures, can be to have an epidemic at the national level, being necessary to the effect, the joint efforts of public, private employees and communities, in order to protect the population against this condition.
V because of the above, it is coming to declare July 9 of every year, "National day for the eradication and control of chagas disease", in order to raise awareness among the population about the danger that represents the disease.
Therefore, in use of his constitutional powers and at the initiative of the President of the Republic, by the Minister of health; and with the support of the deputies and deputies: Othon Sigfrido Reyes Morales, Francisco Roberto Lorenzana Durán, Lorena Guadalupe Peña Mendoza, Irma Lourdes Palacios Vásquez, Damian Alegria, Ana Marina Alvarenga Barahona, Blanca Estela Reyes Barahona, Susy Lisseth Bonilla Flores, Edmundo Yohalmo Cabrera Chacón, Dario Alejandro girls Argueta, José Dennis Córdova Elizondo, Norma Cristina Cornejo Amaya, Carlos Cortéz Hernández, Rosa Alma Cruz Marinero , Nery Arely Diaz de Rivera, Antonio Echeverria Veliz, Emma Julia Fabian Hernandez, Norma Fidelia Ramirios Guevara, Estela Yanet Hernandez Rodriguez, Rodolfo Antonio Martínez, Audelia Guadalupe López de Kleutgens, Hortensia Margarita Lopez Quintana, Guillermo Francisco Mata Bennett, Rolando Mata sources, Yeymi Elizabett Muñoz Morán, Nelson de Jesus Quintanilla Gomez, Ishmael Recinos Lopez, David Rodriguez Rivera, Jaime Gilberto Valdez Hernandez and Ramon Aristides Valencia Arana.
DECREES: 2 article 1.-declared on 9 July every year, "National day for the eradication and control of chagas disease", in order to raise awareness among the population about the danger that represents the disease.
Article 2.-with special emphasis, the 9th July of each year, there will be major promotional activities, aimed at the prevention and control of the disease of Chagas disease by public, private, autonomous and semi-autonomous institutions and the community in general, in coordination with the Ministry of health.
Article 3.-the staff and students of schools, both public and private, can perform at all time, promotional activities, as the concerned in the previous article, in order to achieve active and sustained participation for the prevention and control of chagas disease.
Article 4.-the representatives of the institutions, will inform about the activities area of responsibility corresponding health establishments.
Article 5.-this Decree shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the official journal.
