1. Decree No. 377, the Legislative Assembly of the Republic of EL SALVADOR: I.-that by Legislative Decree N ° 17, dated March 4, 1940, published in the official journal N ° 56, vol. 128 of the same month and year 7, was issued making law, holidays and licensing of public employees.
II.-that by Legislative Decree N ° 335 date 14 March 2013, published in the official journal N ° 71, vol. 399 19 April of the same year, was amended article 9 of the aforementioned law, to establish a license for paternity leave in case of birth or adoption.
III. some sectors have expressed doubts whether such leave should be granted or not with pay; so to dispel all doubt in your application, it is necessary to issue a new reform of the article mentioned, expressly establishing that such leave should be paid.

DECREES the following reform to law of making holiday and licenses of LOS employees public article 1.-Adicionase a paragraph to article 9, in the following way: "all public employees, in the case of paternity leave for birth or adoption, is entitled to a leave of three days, with pay, which shall be granted to their choice from the day of birth , continuously, or distribute them within fifteen days from the date of the birth. In the case of adoptive parents, the period shall run from the date when it is firm respective adoption ruling. For the enjoyment of this license must be presented birth certificate or certification of the judgment of adoption, as the case may be."
Article 2.-this Decree shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the official journal.
