DECREE No. 452 THE LEGISLATURE OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR, CONSIDERING
:
I. That pursuant to Article 117 of the Constitution of the Republic is declared interest social protection, restoration, development and utilization of natural resources and that such protection, conservation and improvement of natural resources and the environment will be subject to special laws.
II.- Act Wildlife Conservation aims at the protection, restoration, management, use and conservation of wildlife. This includes the regulation of activities such as hunting, gathering and marketing as well as other forms of use and exploitation of this resource.
III that animal exploitation is one of the biggest social ethical problems, as well as a threat to wildlife and many endangered species die in the process of capture, transport, confinement and training, plus withstand conditions of cruelty and maltreatment.
IV That the above practices are associated with anti present value of animals in circuses, so it becomes urgent to reform the Law on Wildlife Conservation, in the sense that prohibit entry, use or abuse of wildlife wild in all kinds of shows.
THEREFORE,
in exercise of its constitutional powers and initiative of Deputy Francisco José Zablah Safie and Deputies Irma Palacios Lourdes Vasquez and Nery Arely Diaz de Rivera.
DECREES the following:
REFORM ACT OF WILDLIFE CONSERVATION
Art. . 1.- reformed in Article 20, adding one second paragraph and third paragraph, as follows:
"display of wildlife species in zoos allowed, animal shelters or persons authorized by the Ministry Environment and Natural Resources, provided they meet specific care that species need for their subsistence, in the absence of abuse by overcrowding or by third parties. "
" income use or abuse of fauna is prohibited, wild in all kinds of shows; transit through the national territory, shall be in accordance with international conventions on the subject. "

Art. 2. This Decree shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the Official Journal.
