DECREE No. 465 THE LEGISLATURE OF THE REPUBLIC OF EL SALVADOR, CONSIDERING
:
I.- accordance with Article 131, ordinal 22 of the Constitution of the Republic is empowered to grant the State Authority to individuals or populations, titles, honors and rewards compatible with the form of government established by relevant services to the country.
II.- Article 6, paragraph c) of the Act Honorary Distinctions, Awards and Titles states that the nomination of "meritorious Son or Daughter of El Salvador" is a high distinction and awarded to the Salvadoran people engaged or have been engaged in the practice of humanitarian and altruistic activities, or for their significant contributions to human knowledge or services in a manner such that this contribution represents a national, regional or universal benefit.
II.- That the citizen Mauricio Alonso Rodríguez Lindo, known in sports as "Pipo Rodriguez" represented our country at the Olympic Games in 1968 in Mexico World Cup in 1970 and as coach in Cup Spain World in 1982, also having extensive career in various national teams, becoming a player with an outstanding career, representing a pride for all Salvadorans. That
IV under the aforementioned merits, it is appropriate to declare the citizen Mauricio Alonso Rodríguez Lindo, known in sports as "Pipo Rodriguez", "DISTINGUISHED ATHLETE OF EL SALVADOR" in recognition of his outstanding career and professional sports.

in exercise of its constitutional powers and initiative of Deputy Guillermo Olivo Antonio Mendez. DECREES
:
Art. 1. It is declared citizen Mauricio Alonso Rodríguez Lindo, known in sports as "Pipo Rodriguez", "DISTINGUISHED ATHLETE OF EL SALVADOR" in recognition of his outstanding sporting and professional career.
Art. 2. This Decree shall enter into force eight days after its publication in the Official Journal.
